High volume data presented through multiple channels

Several hundred thousand data points an hour presented through multiple channels isn't a problem from our other projects. BST won't take a one sized fits all solution to your needs. Your needs are unique and so should be the solutions, whether it is a handful of users or hundreds.

Black Sand Technology has developed a multipoint gas monitoring system to help identify and minimize methane leaks.

A flammable gas sensor is currently under development.

Standard sales package include from 2 to 6 methane sensors feeding into one control package.

Leak detection is most effectively implemented where they happen, such as valve bonnets, stuffing boxes and wellheads.

Powering the system

The system is designed to be integrated into the standard 24v provided by SCADA systems. Other options are available to help suit your needs.

No batteries

Cold weather diminishes the effectiveness and utility of battery powered systems. Having people maintaining battery systems is counter-intuitive to effective monitoring solutions.

There are a couple ways to get gas data from the methane and flammable gas sensors. We have chosen the more difficult way, which provides more precision than the voltage interface while also providing other data points to help in solving gas emission problems.
